About

My name is Fabian Keller and I am a software engineer with a strong passion for code quality, architecture and cloud computing. I am 25 years old, live in Stuttgart, Germany, and have just finished my masters' degree in software engineering at the University of Stuttgart. In the meantime I have started to work as a software engineer at mimacom to build awesome web applications.

Profession

More than a decade ago I started to explore web development and have since steadily grown my expertise. In the meantime, I speak Java, PHP, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5 and SCSS fluently to create a unique user experience for the web applications I develop.

I am passionate about developing high-quality software - software that is easy to use for developers and end users. I appreciate any discussion about domain-driven design, software architecture, user experience, cloud technologies and the latest and greatest development tools.

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Personal

In my spare time, I enjoy woodworking. Building useful and beautiful things from such a versatile material is very fulfilling. In the meantime, I have built small projects such as a shoe shine box to larger furniture such as the 2.40m long desk I am working on at home.

Next to that, I like to read, listen to music, play the piano or take photographs. I enjoy reading the following blogs:

  • The Art of Manliness: Thoughts on living a truly fulfilled life.
  • Derek Sivers: All of his posts are worth a read to gain new perspectives on life and business.
  • Gingko Blog: I really like the scrutinizing and challenging perspective Adriano has in his blog posts.
  • Holzwerkerblog: German woodworking blog.
